Remote Payroll Accountant - Flexible Work

Job Overview

We are excited to announce an exceptional opportunity for a Senior Payroll Accountant to join our esteemed organization. This role is crucial in ensuring the timely and precise processing of payroll for our employees while adhering to compliance standards and regulations. This hybrid position provides the flexibility of working on-site three days a week, with the potential for transition to a fully remote setup.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute bi-weekly payroll operations and manage related tax journal entries.
• Conduct monthly reconciliations and promptly address any discrepancies.
• Collaborate with HR and other departments to resolve payroll-related inquiries.
• Drive new business initiatives by streamlining payroll processes for enhanced efficiency.
• Assist in the month-end close and generate detailed payroll reports.
• Maintain robust internal controls and ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines.
• Identify and implement improvements to payroll processes to enhance overall effectiveness.

Required Skills

• Comprehensive knowledge of US payroll tax laws and regulations.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred.
