Must live in the State of Maryland***
Start Date: 11/20/2024
Pay: $16.63/hr.
100% Remote – Must have own equipment.
Recent call center experience required.

Training Schedule between: 9:30am-6:00pm EST, M-F (Day 1-7) 9:30am-6:00pm EST M-F (Day 8-15) Nesting is 4 weeks between: 9:30am-6:00pm EST.

Monday – Friday Schedules will remain between 9:30 am- 6:00pm after training, you must be committed to working this schedule. Schedules are eight (8) hours in length with two (2) 15-minute breaks and a 30-minute lunch

Must have perfect attendance during training and nesting (7 weeks) ****** (1) absence during training or nesting can lead to termination.

Desktop or Laptop with Intel Core i5 Processor or higher with 8GB Memory (No Celeron or Pentium processors) ***
Desktop or laptop have a minimum of 256GB hard drive.

Minimum of 1 USB Gen 2 or newer port (wired headset)
1 RJ-45 connection for a wired connection to internet router
Wired Headset and microphone with a USB Gen2 or newer connection
Video camera capability, necessary for training
NO Mac books, Chromebooks, iPads or Tablets allowed. They are not compatible with our system.

Wired internet connection from computer to router or modem
Download speed 100 MBPS minimum.
Upload speed 10 MBPS minimum.
Must live in the State of Maryland***

Step # 2. Please email a screenshot of your computer processor specs. For those who are not tech savvy– Select the "Windows Key" on your computer and type in the word processor in the search bar and the processor information will come up. ABSOLUTELY NO Celeron/ Pentium – so if THE WORD: Celeron/ Pentium is above it, it's an absolute NO.

Education/Experience:

High school diploma, GED, or equivalent certification; other combinations of education and experience will be considered. Background in health care, human services, or customer service. Experience in data entry and call centers. Experience working with culturally and linguistically diverse and disadvantaged populations in a courteous and effective manner. Excellent organizational, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills. Ability to perform comfortably in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented work environment; ability to successfully execute many complex tasks simultaneously.

Responsibilities:

The Customer Support Center (CSC) at the Maryland Health Connection (MHC) will provide information and assistance for individuals, families, small group employees, and brokers seeking information, enrollment assistance, and other services related to the MHC. The CSC assists individuals regarding eligibility and enrollment for Medicaid, and services applications and enrollments for Qualified Health Plans on the Exchange. The CSC will utilize the State's eligibility and enrollment portal and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software and other State systems to perform all tasks and duties for HIX customers to ensure delivery of high-quality service for all Maryland consumers.
