  1. Accurate and timely transcription of pathology reports in accordance with established guidelines and standards.
  2. Maintain a high level of attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
  3. Utilize strong understanding of medical terminology to accurately transcribe complex medical reports.
  4. Collaborate with pathologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and complete documentation.
  5. Adhere to all HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
  6. Continuously review and improve transcription processes to ensure efficiency and accuracy.
  7. Communicate any discrepancies or inconsistencies in documentation to the appropriate parties.
  8. Work independently and prioritize tasks to meet strict deadlines.
  9. Assist with the training and mentoring of new transcriptionists.
  10. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards and best practices in transcription.
  11. Demonstrate a commitment to quality and accuracy in all aspects of the job.

Job Qualifications

  • Medical Transcription Certification: A Qualified Candidate For A Pathology Transcriptionist Job At Adventhealth Should Possess A Recognized Medical Transcription Certification, Such As The Certified Medical Transcriptionist (Cmt) Or Registered Medical Transcriptionist (Rmt) Credential.

  • Knowledge Of Medical Terminology: As A Pathology Transcriptionist, It Is Essential To Have A Thorough Understanding Of Medical Terminology, Including Anatomical And Pathological Terms, To Accurately Transcribe Medical Reports.

  • Familiarity With Electronic Health Records (Ehrs): Adventhealth Utilizes Electronic Health Records To Maintain Patient Records. A Qualified Candidate Should Have Experience Working With Ehrs And Possess Strong Computer Skills.

  • Attention To Detail: Pathology Transcriptionists Are Responsible For Transcribing And Proofreading Medical Reports, So Attention To Detail Is Crucial. A Qualified Candidate Should Have A Strong Eye For Detail And Be Able To Identify And Correct Any Errors In The Transcription Process.

  • Experience With Pathology Reports: Adventhealth Is Seeking A Candidate With Experience In Transcribing Pathology Reports. This Includes Knowledge Of Common Pathology Tests, Procedures, And Information Found In These Reports.
