HOW YOU MAKE A DIFFERENCE AS A FULL STACK SOFTWARE ENGINEER

As a Full Stack Software Engineer at MarineSitu, your day begins with a collaborative team meeting, where you discuss ongoing projects and brainstorm solutions. You dive into developing front-end applications and creating user-friendly interfaces that allow clients to interact with our underwater data and hardware systems. Afterward, you shift focus to back-end development, ensuring our applications are scalable and efficient. Utilizing your expertise in databases, you manipulate and display data to create meaningful insights. Your role is pivotal, as you collaborate across functions, making every day a new opportunity to innovate and impact marine exploration.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR THIS DYNAMIC SOFTWARE ENGINEERING ROLE

Must-Have Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or greater in computer science or a related field, or equivalent work experience
3+ years of experience in JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML/CSS, and production frontend application development using frameworks like React or Angular
1+ years of experience in Python
Production backend development experience with Node.js, Go, or similar modern frameworks
Proficiency in PostgreSQL, SQL Server, or similar database technologies
Good written and verbal communication skills
Experience with Linux and REST API development
Ability to work independently while collaborating within a cross-functional team

Preferred Qualifications:

1+ years of experience with GCP, AWS, or Azure
Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, or other Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions
Familiarity with data visualization libraries (D3, Dash, and Plotly) and tools like Tableau or Grafana
Knowledge of authorization, identity, and secrets management (OAuth2, SAML/OIDC, SSO)
Experience or interest in working on projects in the marine domain
Fluency in Spanish or other languages
Experience working with Washington tribal communities

WORK SCHEDULE & LOCATION

Location: Hybrid work environment based in Seattle, WA.
Schedule: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM.
